Full-stack SaaS build for a home-care medical service
Built a SaaS for home-care medical staff end to end — requirements through production. 4× growth in adopting clinics within 6 months of launch.
Challenge
- The startup needed a SaaS to streamline scheduling and record-keeping for home-care medical staff — under a tight budget and a hard launch date.
- Handling medical data meant strict compliance with Japan’s APPI and the “3 Ministries, 2 Guidelines” framework for medical information.
- As an early-stage company without an internal engineering team, they needed a partner to ship the MVP and operate it.
Approach
- Team: 1 Bridge SE + tech lead, 2 frontend, 1 backend, 1 designer.
- Co-ran user research and scoped the MVP to three core workflows.
- Cloudflare Workers + tRPC for a cost-efficient, scalable runtime.
- Access logs, encryption, and data-retention controls aligned with the medical information guidelines, in from the first release.
Results
- Requirements to production in 7 months.
- 4× growth in adopting clinics within 6 months of launch.
- Infrastructure operating cost held under JPY 50,000 / month.
- Continuous feature work since launch, now under a lab-style contract.
